– In 2012, a law enforcement officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs was removed for alleged misconduct. Appeal was made to the MSPB (San Francisco regional office) challenging the removal. During the litigation process, the agency rescinded the removal and the matter resulted in a substantial financial SETTLEMENT.
